Guests are welcomed into cozy, apartment-like suites, thoughtfully designed by Stephen Rudnicki and restored by a talented architectural team. The two-story brick building features loft-style units with soaring ceilings, abundant natural light, and stunning views of the Roadside Golf Course and the scenic Lake Wobegon Trail.

The hotel offers three spacious suites, including one perfect for brides, along with a standard room and three smaller rooms with private bathrooms and double beds. The Caboose Suite

A cozy, well-appointed suite with a view of the neighboring bar and event center, the Terrace Suite offers comfort and flexibility for travelers who need more than just a room. It includes a king bedroom, a sitting area with a fold-out sofa, a dining table and chairs, a granite-topped kitchenette with cooktop, refrigerator, microwave, and sink. The private bathroom features a tub-shower combination and a single sink. The Terrace Suite still delivers the charm of our 1874 hotel with modern comforts like individually controlled PTAC heating and cooling, ideal for short or extended stays.

The Railway Rooms

Tucked within our 1874 historic hotel, the Railway Rooms offer simple elegance with a nod to the golden age of rail travel. These intimate queen rooms feature a comfortable bed, writing desk, and private bath with a modern standing shower — all thoughtfully updated with heating, air conditioning, and modern plumbing. Ideal for solo travelers or couples, each room blends charm and practicality, offering a restful stay in a space that reflects the building’s storied past.

The Pullman Room

A refined step up from our Railway Rooms, the Pullman Room offers generous comfort with a king bed and a pull-out sofa, making it ideal for solo travelers, couples, or small families. It includes granite cabinetry with built-in storage and a compact refrigerator for added convenience. The private bathroom features a standing shower with updated fixtures, and the room is equipped with individually controlled heating and air conditioning via a modern PTAC unit. Set within our restored 1874 hotel, the Pullman Room blends historic character with practical comfort.

First Class Suite

Experience timeless comfort in our beautifully appointed Grand View Suite. Overlooking historic 441 Railroad Avenue, it features a private king bedroom and a separate living area with a pull-out sofa, perfect for families or longer visits. The luxurious bathroom is finished in marble and includes a vintage-inspired clawfoot tub, a standing shower, dual sinks, and elegant tilework. It has a granite-topped kitchenette with cooktop, microwave, and refrigerator, plus flat-screen TV in each room — for added convenience. Whether you're relaxing in the cozy sitting area or soaking in the view, the Grand View Suite combines modern amenities with classic charm.

The Pioneer Suite

Our most spacious accommodation, the Garden Suite overlooks the patio and offers a bright, welcoming layout ideal for extended stays or families. The suite features a private king bedroom, a separate sitting area with a fold-out sofa, a dining table with chairs, and a fully equipped kitchenette with granite countertops, cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, and sink. The bathroom includes a tub-shower combination and single sink, offering all the essentials in a cozy, functional space. With its generous size, flexible layout, and views of the garden patio, the Garden Suite combines comfort and charm in our restored 1874 historic hotel.

The Founders Room

Located on the main level with no stairs required, the Maple Room is our ADA-accessible suite, offering both comfort and grandeur. Featuring high ceilings, classic beadboard wainscoting, and original maple floors, this expansive room showcases the craftsmanship of our 1874 building with all the conveniences of modern restoration. The private bathroom is fully ADA-compliant and includes elegant tilework and a roll-in shower. Though it offers no kitchenette, the Maple Room provides ample space and flexibility, making it ideal for guests who appreciate openness and accessibility in a historic setting.
